Two adhoc staff of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) have gone missing after Saturday’s state constituency bye-election in Zamfara state.
On Sunday morning, INEC returning officer Prof. Ibrahim Magawata declared the Saturday bye-election conducted in Bakura constituency as inconclusive.
So far, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Tudu, is leading with a total number of 18645 votes, while the APC candidate, Alhaji Bello Dankande Gamji, has polled 16464 votes.
According to the INEC returning officer, the election was declared inconclusive following the political violence in Yargeda and over voting in eight polling units in Bakura town respectively.
