Bauchi State House of Assembly's Speaker, Rt.Hon.Abubakar Y.Suleiman, Bauchi state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon.Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki ,Kano State Commissioner for Works,Hon.Idiris Garba R/Rimi and Adamawa State Commissioner for Rural Infrastructure, Hon.Abdullahi Adamu Purambe  are among the winners of this year's edition of the Prowess University's honorary doctorate award holding in Abuja later this month.

Other eminent personalities in leadership positions listed for the honor include the  managing Director of KNUPDA, Arc.Suleiman Abdulwahab Ahmad,Kabir Usman Babba Kaita,former Comptroller of Nigerian Customs Service and Sheik Yusuf Sambo Sambo Rigachikun, a renowned Islamic scholar in Northern Nigeria. 

The chairman of Mantatali Nig  Limited,Alhaji Abba Sheriff Modu who doubles as winner of Leadtimes Africa Businessman of the year Award will bag a honorary doctor of philosophy in Business Administration during the ceremony. 

Others include the Executive chairman of Gwale LGA of Kano State, Hon.Khalid Ishaq Diso and the Executive Chairman of Abaji Area Council,FCT,Abuja, Hon.Abdulrahaman Ajiya. 

Hon.Zamwawosayi Musa Tanko,Hon Tukura Sunday,Supervisory Councilor in charge of Education, all of Abaji  Area  Council as well as the Supervisory Councillor, Agriculture in AMAC,Hon.Yunusa D.Sarki, are  listed for Leadtimes Africa Award for Integrity, Transparency and Accountability in Service for distinguishing  in the councils for quality service delivery. 

The honorary award which is an annual event would honor the Iyaloja of Kano State, Nigeria and National Women Leader of Movement For Actualisation of TINUBU 2023 Presidency,Hajia Fatima Saghir and Hon Chindo Gona,executive Chairman of Bassa LGA of Plateau State, Nigeria.

In a release by Professor Prince Eze Nwauba who doubles as African Representative of Prowess University and Director of the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies(IAMPS) stated thus:''all the awardees have been selected strictly on merit in their chosen professional calling'

  "All of them have impacted positively on the lives of their people with outstanding leadership qualities of global recognition'', the statement added.

In a statement credited to Professor Nwuaba,"some of these honorary doctorate awardees will also be inducted as fellow of chartered institute of Arts Professional( CIAP),
USA”.

It would be recalled that the last event was held in Accra,Ghana with over twenty outstanding Nigerians conferred with different categories of honorary doctorate award including the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff Lt.General Tukur Yusuf Buratai who won the prestigious African Prize for Transparency, Selfless Service and Accountability in Leadership in  the 2018 edition in Ghana.

Note that the event was initially slated for Kano but has been moved to Abuja,FCT.
