Senator representing Plateau South in the National Assembly,  Prof. Dame Nora Daduut on Wednesday    disowned a fake facebook account which is being used by some imposters to defraud unsuspecting individuals.


Daduut  made this ugly development known through a statement made available to newsmen in Jos.


The statement reads that “The attention of Senator Daduut  has been drawn to the fraudulent act by some criminals who had opened a fake Facebook account in her name to extort unsuspecting individuals.


“The criminals had used the Senator's  name to open the account and demanded for payment from  unsuspecting members of the public for Jobs and empowerment.


‘’We wish to state that the Senator , who has a genuine account( Senator Prof Dame Nora L. Daduut ) , will not demand money from anyone to take part in any empowerment   or seek for Jobs for her constituents .


She  therefore, urged the public to beware of the fraudsters.


"Members of the Public should pls note that as  Senator representing Plateau South i have never asked any member of the public to drop his or her accounts details for any Job offer or for any empowerment ".


According to her, the  Facebook management and relevant security agencies have been notified of the fraudulent activities of the impostors behind the parody Facebook accounts.
