A high Court in Jos has ruled that Hon. Joshua Laven be reinstated as the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council of Plateau State.


Justice Ishaku Kunda ruled that the tenure of Hon. Joshua Laven who was sworn into office in October, 2019 will expire on 9th October, 2022.


It will be recalled that the complainant approached the Court following his removal from office even when he still have one year to complete his 3-year tenure just as other elected Chairmen whose tenure elapsed and elections were held on 9th October, 2021.


Reacting to the judgement, the PDP State Chairman, Hon. Hassan, in a statement signed by his aid, Kefas Sumdi described the High Court verdict as a victory for democracy, PDP family, good people of Langtang North and the State at large.


The State Chairman described Hon. Ubandoma as a true democrat and a hero of democracy and the judgement is a true reflection of the wishes of the people especially those at the grassroots.


While thanking God for the victory, the Chairman appreciated the judiciary for rising up to its solemn responsibility of ensuring justice prevail.


This is just the beginning of better days ahead, a good omen to the party, let us be steadfast and be United for the victory ahead.
