Residents  groan, calls on JMDB, Plateau lands Ministry, JED  to intervene

Cross section of residents of Daku Street Gwarandok Abbatior in Jos South local government council of Plateau state  ,have called on the  Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB) , the Plateau state Ministry of Lands  and the Jos Electricty company  to intervene as a man identified as Mr  Emmanuel from Jos South local government is currently building lock up shops on the road leading to the street  in the community.


The building  under construction is also  under an  Electricty  pole owned by the Jos Electricty company.


A citizen of the community Mr Chuks Peter  who  spoke to our correspondent lamented the act been carried out by Mr Emmanuel lamenting that how would someone build on the road leading to a community.


Mr Peter said several elders of the community had intervened and called on Mr Emmanuel to stop the construction of the building but to no avail.


The road in which Emmanuel is currently building was  given to the community  by  a Yourba man who was the then  owner of the plot before he sold it out  years ago, in which Mr Emmanuel who was an agent  now is claiming ownership of the road .


Our correspondent who was at the community observed that the lockup shops  been constructed by Mr Emmanuel  is been constructed under   a  PHCN Pole.



"We urge relevant authorities to intervene ,the communities members told our correspondent ".
