Senator representing Plateau North in the National Assembly, Sen. Istifanus Dung Gyang has commended the National Chairman of the PDP Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, the National Working Committee, the board of trustees and the NEC for ensuring that the party complies with every provision of the Electoral law during the screening of aspirants ahead of the 2023 General elections.


Gyang, who is the Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Defense stated this on Wednesday after being screened by the National Assembly Screening Committee at the PDP Office, Jos.


Gyang who is seeking reelection into the Red Chambers said PDP is the only party that has provided good governance to the Citizens of Nigeria before APC came with deceit in 2015, saying now that Nigerians are aware of the truth, he assured PDP has taken over Leadership at all levels come 2023.


He commended the Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP led by its National Chairman Sen.


Iyorchia Ayu, National working committee, board of trustees and the NEC of the party for complying with every provision of the electoral law.


The Lawmaker who was the first to be screened by the screening committee appreciated the diligence, openness and due process of the Screening Committee.


He added that PDP will bring good leadership in 2023 that is focused on development and transformation for the hope of the nation.


Earlier the Chairman of the Screening Committee in Plateau State, Prof. Jibrin Abdullahi, assured all the aspirants of transparency and fairness in their responsibility.


“We are here to add value to democracy in Nigeria, and democracy wouldn’t have been successful in Nigeria without PDP and we want PDP to take their rightful position in 2023.


“We know you have been doing very well as a Senator, and we urged you to continue doing well”.
