The heavy downpour that lasted several hours in Plateau State on the 24th & 25th November, 2023, has destroyed vital documents of the Plateau State House of Assembly causing havoc to the  Contractor handling the ongoing  State House of Assembly Complex project.

The Contractor raised alarm that the facilities affected were not part of the contract agreement as he appeals to the government Plateau to urgently mobilize him to site and include those areas not capture in the agreement.

According to eyewitness, the rainfalls on the 24th & 25th November, 2023 destroyed a lot of documents inside  the chamber of the assembly complex and the thick level of POP constructed  by the company in 2013.

The  contractor says,"the   agreement was for the roof  of the assembly complex, Speaker and the Deputy Speaker residential buildings should be the one awarded  to Kamba Construction Company Nigeria Limited.

Managing Director of the company, Engr.Khalil Raffoul also decried that they are eager to complete the renovation of the chamber for members of the 10th assembly to resume session but he is yet to be   mobilize since promised was made to his company.

However, after our correspondence went round the state Assembly and also interview the staff from Kamba construction Company said, they were complaining that they are not politicians and either not  partisan in politics so they want to complete the contract agreement which  the government is yet pay the  funds but if that  is made available today and tomorrow respectively .

We remain neutral body as contractor to whatever business of politicking to accomplish the contract but due to delay in payment that  hamper the progress of the job.

We don't belong to APC or PDP as contractor we are handling all Government contracts in Plateau State as the funds for the  renovation exercise was awarded to the company by the Plateau State Government .

This Medium investigation revealed that the contract agreement was signed 10th November,2023 were all the necessary documents was signed and scheduled for commencement on 15th November,2023 through the first Former Speaker Rt. Hon.Nuhu Abok Ayuba and now the senior Legislative Aide to Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

The former Speaker,Rt.Hon. Moses Sule which the contractor wasn't mobilize to site to commence work as the contractor base on the agreement reached the chamber roof zincs, light, members seats ,table seats all have been removed .

The staff applauded the report earlier credited  to one Shittu Bamaiyi who clearly clarity that the contractor was denied payment inspite of the agreement contract signed with the present Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang .

The statement explained further that the unnecessary delay in getting the job done was due to non payment of the agreement with the government.
