Late Sylvanus Namang

Plateau State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Josephine Piyo, has condemned the killing of state publicity secretary of All Progressive Congress (APC), late Sylvanus Namang by unknown gunmen on Saturday, 17th February 2024, in Pankshin Local Government Area. 

Piyo, in a statement issued to newsmen in Jos the state capital on Monday, described the killing as unfortunate and shocking, acknowledged the late scribe-man as a dedicated spokesman of the APC on the Plateau who made an impact on the party and state as a whole. 

She called on citizens to always report suspicious movements in their communities and join hands with the government to fight the cycle of killings in the state. 

The Deputy Governor called on the security agencies to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators of the crime and bring them to justice.

Piyo commiserated with the immediate family, the APC, political associates, and friends on the painful loss as she prayed for the repose of his soul and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
