DIWA, a leading non-governmental organization, is proud to announce the implementation of a series Women Summit, dedicated to empowering women in their critical roles in promoting Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB) and fostering peace in Plateau state with guest from Plateau and Kaduna States.

On the 13th and 14th November in Plateau State the summit focusses on the voices of women leaders, activists, scholars, and organizations from diverse communities within the two states.

Participants were able to engage in meaningful discussions focused on FoRB, human rights protection, and peacebuilding, all through a gendered lens.

The summit features a series of dynamic events, including:Keynote Addresses from influential speakers Panel Discussions on pressing issues related to FoRB and women's rights Interactive Feedback Session aimed at fostering dialogue and collaboration Interviews with Participants aimed at getting feedback on the session.

This initiative is designed not only to raise public awareness about the importance of inclusivity and respect for religious diversity but also to strengthen networks among women and generate actionable policy recommendations that will have a lasting impact on society.

We believe that women's empowerment is essential for sustainable peace and human rights, this summit gave us the opportunity to harness the unique perspectives of women in driving change and promoting coexistence in our communities.
