The All Progressive Congress (APC) Executive Members of Talbol Ward and some key Stakeholders in Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau state, has vehemently debunked the suspension of Hon. Bendal Nancwat, by the party.
Recall, Hon. Bendal Nancwat, member representing Langtang South constituency in the state Assembly alongside some wards APC executives were purportedly suspended from the party over alleged involving on Inter-party activity during the local councils elections held on the 9th October, 2024.
The stakeholders described the allegation peddle against the Lawmaker as a "mere media attack and deliberate act by some political jobbers and detractors who were bent at drawing baseless political recognition."
Speaking to newsmen recently in Langtang South, the APC Deputy Chairman of Talbol Ward in Langtang South LGA, Hon Venbong Ramnap, revealed they have not in any way or point suspended Hon. Bendal and any member of the party’s executive.
“The allegations of anti party leveled against Hon Bendal Nancwat was false. These allegations are untrue, false, baseless and unfounded as there was never a time that Hon Bendal got involved in anti party activities.
“We did not suspend our lawmaker at any time, we have confidence in Hon Bendal. Our lawmaker is working hard to provide dividends of democracy to the people of the zone and we are solidly behind him”, he emphasized.
Ramnap, however, noted that there was no any form of anti-party activity recorded in his Ward and therefore, called on the general public to disregard the speculation describing it as malicious.
Furthermore, the APC Ward’s Secretary, Hon. Bala Setyep, disclosed that the Ward has passed a vote of confidence on Hon. Bendal and the Executive saying, “we want to tell the public that we did not suspend our lawmaker at any time.
Also reacting to the suspension saga, a Stakeholders, Mr Fazing Nimzap, described the purported suspension of Hon Bendal and the party’s ward executive as baseless because they had already passed a vote of confidence on the lawmaker.
However, Hon. Bendal Nancwat the Member, representing Langtang South Constituency in the 10th state Assembly, who is a victim of the media falsehood, stated that the purported suspension from his party at the local government level as laughable.
Bendal wondered why some people thought or could plan such an unconstitutional act orchestrating suspension threat saying, “they are anti-democratic forces masquerading as the Executives of at the LGA. They are bunch of comedians and pretenders."
