The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jos South Local Government Area held a joint meeting between the Local Government Executive Committee and Ward Chairmen on Monday, July 8, 2025, to discuss recent developments in the party and chart a unified path forward.

The meeting was presided over by the Secretary of the Local Government Executive Committee in the absence of the Deputy Chairman, who was unavoidably absent due to ill health. The Secretary extended deep appreciation to all Ward Chairmen present, noting their presence as a clear indication of shared purpose and unity within the party structure.

A statement signed by Chuwang Christopher Tadi, on behalf of Jos South Executive Committee reads that at the heart of the meeting was a comprehensive briefing on the controversial lifting of the suspension placed on Hon. Pam Mwanvwang Dalyop by the State Working Committee. The Secretary outlined all actions taken so far by the Jos South LGA Executive Committee, including its formal rejection of the decision through a public statement released on July 5, 2025.

In response, the Ward Chairmen unanimously commended the Local Government Executive Committee for its consistent and principled position on the matter. They expressed full support for every action taken so far, describing it as a defence of the party’s internal democracy and moral integrity. The Chairmen emphasized that such matters of discipline must be handled transparently and in the collective interest of the party’s local structure.

Most importantly, the Ward Chairmen resolved to stand by the Executive Committee in all future efforts aimed at deepening party cohesion and upholding discipline. They acknowledged that unity and order at the grassroots level are vital for the survival and success of the APC in Jos South and beyond.

The meeting ended with a renewed sense of solidarity and purpose, as both the Ward Chairmen and the Local Government Executive Committee pledged to continue working together in promoting the values of accountability, integrity, and grassroots participation in the affairs of the party.
