Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil was among dignitaries who graced the historic Installation and Presentation of Staff of Office of His Royal Highness, Miskoom Yahaya Kwande Kwalgrum II, the Longkwo of Kwo Chiefdom. 

The ceremony which attracted personalities from far and near, was officially performed by Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, at the Child Friendly Primary School Play Ground,  Kwande, Qua'an-Pan Local Government Area on Thursday.

The Speaker who led members of the 10th Assembly to witness the  Occasion, described HRH Miskoom Yahaya Kwande Kwalgrum II as a man whose remarkable trajectory in both the public and private sectors is defined by integrity, vision, and service. 

He noted that the traditional ruler’s experience as an elder statesman and commitment to societal growth positions him as a key figure in promoting peace, unity, and development within Kwo Chiefdom and beyond.

Rt. Hon. Naanlong expressed optimism that the Long kwo will hit the ground running with a deep sense of responsibility and dedication to instilling the right values that are essential for building a strong and united Kwo Chiefdom, Qua'an-Pan 
and Plateau State as a whole.
 
The Speaker also commended Governor Mutfwang for personally attending the occasion and  honoring the revered traditional institution by presenting the staff of office himself. 

He noted such a gesture reinforces the administration’s respect for traditional leadership and its role in grassroots governance and cultural preservation.
The Speaker assured the Long kwo of the Plateau Legislature's support to the traditional institutions at all times.

The event was attended by top government functionaries, traditional rulers, Community leaders, as well as sons and daughters of Kwo Chiefdom who turned out in their numbers to witness the historic moment.
