A group under the platform of Coalition for Democratic Sustainability and Good Governance (CDSGG) has empathically mentioned that the defection of the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang from the PDP to APC has been sealed.

Recalled recently there were growing agitations and debates within the public and media circle in respect to Governor Mutfwang's possible defection to APC.

But CDSGG said the question on whether Mutfwang is defecting to APC is no longer a mere rhetoric as the deal has already been sealed.

According to the spokesman of the coalition, Hon. Nurudeen Inuwa while addressing a press conference on Friday at NUJ secretariat in Jos the state capital, revealed they are aware of several meetings held between the Governor Mutfwang and APC national party leadership including president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

"In few days to come were executing the governor to get APC membership card from his ward. We have made a non-partisan appeal for a seamless transition of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to the All Progressives Congress (APC)."

The coalition emphasizes that the move is a pragmatic realignment designed to protect Plateau State's interests and strengthen its relationship with the federal government.

"Governor Mutfwang's defection presents an opportunity to unlock federal goodwill, accelerate development, and restore Plateau's voice at the national table."

Inuwa appeal to stakeholders both within the PDP and APC fold to engineer a soft landing mechanism to ensure a transition devoid of bitterness and rancour.

"We expect publicly reaffirm commitment to Plateau's development agenda through a bi-partisan "Plateau Development Compact". Protect the political space and ensure no victimization or exclusion of citizens.

"The coalition emphasizes that Plateau State's collective peace, investor confidence, governance continuity, and people's dignity and unity are at stake.

"We urge elders and stakeholders to guide this moment towards progressive consensus and choose the legacy of unity, strategic stability, and Plateau State's prosperity."
