The Political Wing of the Indigenous Muslims Association on the Plateau, has pledged their unflinching support for Governor Caleb Mutfwang's administration, saying they were ready to follow the governor to wherever political party he went.
The group made their position known on the wake of eminent defection, alignment and realignment by Nigerian political actors as Governor Mutfwang announced his defection to APC recently.
More evidence also emerged that APC stakeholders on the Plateau held a strategic meeting championed by the National chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda on Monday 22nd December, 2025, where they had agreed to organise a befitting reception for Governor Mutfwang into the APC fold come January 2026.
But Plateau Indigenous Muslim said their support for governor Mutfwang is based on personality not party affiliation.
Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday at their secretariat in Jos, the leader and secretary of the group, Ibrahim Pam and Hon. Babuga Yusuf Umar, stated that the governor is restoring the lost glory of the state placing it among the most admired states in Nigeria.
"We sincerely commend the Governor for his relentless efforts in driving progress and development in Plateau State, making the state reclaim its rightful position as the Home of Peace, Tourism and Hospitality.
"Plateau State, under the leadership of Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has recorded tremendous achievements in the areas of security, agriculture, education, sports, peace-building, and human capital development.
"Notable mention must be made of the unprecedented road construction projects and the rehabilitation of abandoned roads within the capital city, the provision of new Metro buses in the transport sector, and the revamping of the railway system.
"These initiatives have significantly impacted the lives of citizens, alongside the government’s unbiased support to Muslim communities across the state during festive periods.
"These milestones deserve the support and commendation of all Plateau residents, irrespective of faith, tribe, ethnic group, or political ideology.
"We hereby pledge our total loyalty and unwavering support to Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang wherever he goes. We will continue to work with his administration for the overall progress and prosperity of Plateau State", they mentioned.
