The Anaguta Nation world wide has held the 2026 new year celebration, expressing gratitude to God Almighty for yet another grace and opportunity to witness new year.

The historic event which took place on Thursday 1st January, 2026 at the Professor Luka Bentu indoor theatre, cultural center, Jos, is a testament of celebrating God's faithfulness.

National president of Anaguta Development and Cultural Association, Hon. Daniel Garba Boka, emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence with other communities, highlighting the Anaguta's accommodating nature and history of welcoming diverse tribes in their domain.

According to him, "the new year 2026 celebration aims to foster unity, renew commitment and hope among communities in Jos North.

"It also intensify the display of rich traditional cultural activities of Anaguta people as well as encouraging other communities to participate and support the event."
The epoch making event which witnessed the presence of Anaguta sons and daughters both at home and diaspora was chaired by Hon. James Yakubu, former commissioner of youths and sports development and now House of Representative aspirant for Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency under the platform of PDP.

The Executive Chairman of Jos North local government council, Barr. John Christopher, while appreciating God for another opportunity to see the beginning of 2026, saying God God has been faithful for us as individual, community, local government and state and therefore, we have all reason to come together particularly the community of Anaguta just as it is done in so many communities within the local government.

"The whole essence is to thank God for a brand new year and pray together because God believes in unity as we anticipate the blessings, protection, opportunities, and provision from God."

Advocating for unity of purpose amongst diverse tribes in Jos North, the chairman noted that, "if we love each other we will be united and if were united we will live in peace not only within your community but also with your neighbours because Jos North is a miniature Nigeria, and by so doing we will provide the dividends of democracy from the local government, state and federal government."

He charged people to be vigilant, watchful, and engage in gainful ventures that would make us grow as a community.
Ujah Anaguta, His Royal Majesty Pozoh Johnson Jauro Magaji II, chairman Jos North traditional council acknowledged the new year 2026 celebration is another vista in the annals of Anaguta nation.

The paramount ruler who was represented by the District Head of Nabor, His Royal Highness Pozoh Bala thanked well wishers and friends of the Anaguta nation as he prayed God faithfulness towards other yearly cultural festivals.
