The Plateau State House of Assembly on Thursday passed the 2019 appropriation bill of over N153.6 billion into law.

The passage followed a report by the House Standing Committee on Appropriation presented during plenary by its Chairman, Yahaya Adamu.

It would be recalled that Governor Simon Lalong had, on December 24, 2018, presented a budget size of over N148.7 billion for the 2019 fiscal year to the House for consideration.

The money bill tagged “Budget of Rescue and Infrastructural Growth” had over N83.4 billion representing 56 per cent of the proposal as recurrent expenditures, while capital expenditures was expected to gulp over N65.3 billion, representing 43.9 percent.
