Following the dissolution of the state Executive council by the governor of plateau state ,his exellency RT.HON.BARR Simon lalong  the outgoing state commissioner of finance Dr.Mrs Regina Soemlat has handed over the mantle of leadership to permanent secretary in the ministry at the commissioner's office J.D Gomwalk secretariet,Jos.

The handing over ceremony withness the presence of Accountant General of the state,Cyril Tsyenyil,chairman plateau state Board of internal service Dashe Arlat as well as management and staff of the ministry presenting the the handover notes to the permanent secratary of the minstry Alhaji Sani yahaya,the outgoing commissioner Regina Soemlat appreciated Governor Lalong for giving her the opportunity to serve as a member of the state Executive council stressing that the rescue administration inherited an economy traumatised by recession huge dept overhang and backlog of salaries,pension arreas among others pointing out that it is from this backdrop that the ministry has worked round the clock to evolve some sound fiscal and financial policies geared towards harnessing our lean financial resources for the good of all.

Soemlat explain that during her tenure the minstry made some remarkable acheivements the most among is the sustainance  of payment of salaries and pension.

Earlier the permanent secretary of the ministry describe Regina Soemlat as a God fearing woman who worked very hard to move the minstry forward.

He urged the outgoing commissioner to continue  to visit the ministry for her proffessional advice he wished her success in her feature endevour.

Goodwill messages  came from chairman Board of internal revenue services Dashe Arlat, and Director of Admin Mr. Abu Nimyel they all gave good account about the stewardship of the outgoing commissioner.
