Yesterday, Speaker PLHA, Abok Nuhu Ayuba summoned the Plateau State COVID-19 Task Force Response Team
to brief the House on the new development and effort made so far in ensuring that the novel disease does not get to the shores of plateau state. The Chairman of the Committee, Gov. Simon Lalong represented by SGS, Prof Danladi Atu promised that the Committee will keep the House of Assembly updated about it's activities and spendings. Mr. Speaker, while speaking during the meeting charged the Committee to ensure that the COVID-19 does not get to the state. He added that the committee should ensure that the palliative measures mobilized by the state government is deployed to the targeted benefiaries, the poorest of the poor . The speaker insisted that as the representatives of the people, their hearts are with the people, their health, welfare and security. He advised the Task Force to pay adequate attention to the Vigilante Group and accord proper recognition for it's contribution in effecting the 'StayAtHome
