STF Boss Charges Journalists On Objective Reportage

The newly commandant of Operation Save Haven (OPSH), a joint security task force deployed for the maintenance of peace, law and order in Plateau, Bauchi and Kaduna States, Major General Chukwuemaka Okonkwo has charged journalists to be objective in their reportage always.
He pleaded with media practitioners to report accurately not to tear up bitterness or rancour by feeling free to inquire for further clarification if in doubt.
Major General Okonkwo made the assertion at OPSH headquarters during a familiarization with media practitioners.
He promised building synergy with media practitioners on objective reportage that can promote peaceful coexistence between the three states under his command.
According to him,"as I took the mantle of leadership of the STF , my main plan is to ensure that there is synergy between the Nigeria Army, other security outfits including all the stakeholders to stop wild spread of attacks and killings going on.
“Plateau state used to be the most peaceful state in Nigeria in the 80s but I want us to return the state back to her glory." He stated.
He also confirmed there is change in military strategy on information which everything come from the headquarters.
The incoming STF commandant, Major General Chukwuemaka Okonkwo who took over from Major General Augustine Agundu was the adviser to Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai retired.
