The Chief Executive Officer Institute of Human Virology (IHVN) Abuja Dr. Patrick Dakum has congratulated Plateau Workers especially frontline workers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic on the occasion of International Workers Day. His message was contained in a press release made available to Satisprime Reporters dated 1st May 2020.

Dr. Dakum said it was impossible to calculate the impact civil servants and those working in the private sector have had on democracy and the general management of state affairs. He said they were the unsung heroes of the age especially frontline workers and those on essential duties risking their lives in case identification,  Laboratory Tests, Care and Treatment including isolation of suspect cases of Covid-19. Health Care Workers in all health care settings who take the risk of treating other patients.. included are all support staff like drivers and cleaners. Dr Dakum prayed that the faithfulness of all workers will never go unrewarded by God. In the same vein, he commended Governor Lalong for putting the welfare of Plateau Workers as a priority and steering the COVID-19 effectively in Plateau.  Dr. Dakum in addition reiterated his commitment to working with those in positions of authority to address emerging challenges on the Plateau. "Today history is made because we remember the sacrifices, bravity and commitment of workers on the Plateau. Their contribution to the growth and development of Plateau state is sincerely acknowledged and appreciated. I congratulate them and implore them to work hard without looking back until we realise the Plateau of our dream..." The statement reads in part.
