Plateau, Apex Sign Mangu Market Gully Erosion Construction Pact

Plateau State Government through NEWMAP have signed an agreement with Apex projects Limited to undertake reconstruction and rehabilitation of Mangu Market gully erosion intervention site.
Our correspondent gather the project which started since 2016 have about 4.96km, 9 check dams,8 culverts and 2.9 hectares.
Plateau State Government paid the counterpart fund for the project which was approved by World Bank.
The bureau of public procurement confirmed that all due process has followed as everything was done according to standard in respect to project transaction.
Speaking during contract signing in Cabinet office, the Plateau State Head of civil servant, Atang Izam Azi reiterate that government is expecting a tangible, concrete and thorough job on ground.
He warned against interference to sabotage government and contractor's efforts.
Commissioner of environment, Idi Yakubu admit the selection process of contractor to handle the project was done transparently.
He believes the project when executed would bring growth and development not only to Mangu Local Government but Plateau as a whole.
His Royal Highness, Da John Hirse, District head of Mangu applaud government for initiating the project, lament that gully erosion has threatening the locality over the years.
Apex Project Limited contractor, Emmanuel N. Ewah handling reconstruction and rehabilitation of Mangu market gully erosion vowed to do his very best to keep the track record, and deliver the project on time according to specification.
He also promised to use manpower needed in Plateau, as he eager to work with stakeholders to achieve desire result.
