The Chief executive officer, CEO, Nigerian Rubies Pageant, a concept of Rocy Reset style plus entertainment and stores, Erochukwu Nwodo stated that she is more passionate about empowering young women who are ready and committed to be self reliant not only through Pageant but innovation and entrepreneurship.

Nwodo, would represent Nigeria in the 2020 edition Pageant, Miss Peace Ambassador Global, schedule for 2nd October, 2020, in India.

Addressing Journalists in NUJ Secretariat Jos, Plateau State capital, CEO Nwodo revealed whoever among the six contestants that would be contesting for that same crown in November,2020, where the winner will represent Nigeria in 2021.

According to her"The pageant is aimed at redefining beauty and making it all inclusive irrespective of size, height and colour. The pageant is designed to build women and empower them to be nation builders ranging from being resourceful, home makers, role models, influencers and building up the younger generation to be same and do same.

"It looks forward to teaching and guiding young women into entrepreneurship, as winners wil be involved in so many trading activities, modeling contracts and any other ventures of their dreams to be empowered and to be able to empower others." She said.

She further explain that the choice of choosing Plateau to be the Rubies pageantry, 2020, edition is to enable the constants the opportunity to be familiar, appreciate and showcase the rich cultural heritage of diverse ethnic nationalities of Northern region.

"The Northern regions are not being represented for their true diversity. During cultural costume competition the picture usually painted by the contestants is that everyone from the northern region is Fulani, one of the reasons being that 99% of contestants representing these northern regions are not from these regions and most of the time never visited. So it’s easier to get the Fulani attire and use it as the culture of that region leaving out the rich culture of the majority of the northern people.

"Also best in cultural costume is scarcely won by the northern region best to my knowledge and research. So I also intend to encourage those from the northern region to participate in this pageantry to show the world who they really are. And show the richness of the cultural heritage of the northern region.
