Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has mourned the passage of His Royal Majesty, General Domkat Bali, Ponzhi Tarok who passed unto glory at the early hour of Friday 4th December, 2020 in Jos after a protracted illness. Late General Domkat Bali was a prominent and decorated general in the Nigerian Army until his retirement.


The Honourable Minister stated that, Late Ponzhi Tarok will be missed by the the good people of Tarok Nation, Plateau State and beyond.


In a condolence letter to the family, the Minister described late General Domkat Bali as a selfless military general whose contributions in the Nigerian Army has brought significance transformation in Nigeria and across Africa countries.


He said: " my condolence to the family and Tarok Joint Traditional Council over the unfortunate death of General Domkat who answered God's call at the early hour of Friday in Jos. " Like I said, he was a prominent military general in the Nigerian Army before his retirement. 


General Bali was a retired four-star General of the Nigerian Army. He was a Minister of Defence and member of the Supreme Military Council. "General Domkat Bali was a peaceful man and straight forward person. As a man of peace, he lived a very contented life. He was not eager to be a traditional ruler after his retirement as military general. 


Late General Domkat Bali will be honoured   because of his commitment in peace restoration in Nigeria and across Africa Countries.


The Minister said His Royal Majesty, General Bali will be greatly missed because of his love for his family and Tarok Nation.
