Prof. Nora Ladi Dadu’ut has emerged as the first female Senator to be elected in Plateau State to represent the Plateau South Senatorial District at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
Prof. Nora Daduut of the APC was declared winner of the 5th December, 2020 Plateau Southern Senatorial Zone Bye-election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) earlier today in Shendam, the headquarters of Plateau South.
She pulled 83,104 to defeat her closest opponent and Candidate of the main opposition Party, the PDP, Rt. Hon. George Daika who scored 70,838 Votes.
Returning Officer of the Plateau Southern Senatorial Bye-election, Prof. Idris Amale declared Prof. Nora Winner and returned elected having won the highest votes cast and meeting other statutory requirements.
Prof. Nora took aggressive lead in Wase, Shendam, Qua’anpan and Mikang LGAs while Rt. Hon. George Daika pocketed Langtang North and Langtang South LGAs.
Plateau Southern Senatorial District is made up of 6 Local Government Area with 712 Polling Units.
