The member representing Dengi state constituency, Rt Hon (surv) Saleh Shehu Yipmong who doubles as the Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly was in Gwamlar Ward to sympathize with the peace loving people of Gwamlar over the demise of their Village Head, Alh Garba Suleiman.


The deputy Speaker while consoling the family of the deceased and the People of Gwamlar ward described the late Paramount ruler as a renowned Islamic cleric, a Peacemaker, a pillar of unity in the society, an epitome of humility. He further said that the deceased during his reign as a member of Kanam traditional Council served the local government very diligently, encouraging Peace, security and unity in the constituency.

Alh Suleiman Garba left behind to mourn him wives, children, Grand children and great grand children, he will be greatly missed for his humility, gentility, meekness and love for mankind.


The Deputy Speaker and his entourage registered their heartfelt condolences to the immediate family,  the people of Gwamlar community, Bogghom Nation and the entire kanam traditional council. Yipmong prayed for the soul of Pangkwal Gwamlar and other faithfuls to rest in peace.


The entourage further took off to the family residence of Alh Auwal Jaoji whose wife and little daughter were killed by kidnappers. 


Hon Bala Noma who prayed on behalf of the entourage for God to grant the immediate family the fortitude to bear the loss, called on security agencies to intensify their efforts in securing lives and properties. He prayed God to punish the culprits.
