Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman have congratulated Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State for accepting President Mohammadu Buhari approval for the establishment of Federal Polytechnic Shendam.
The Chairman in a congratulatory message to Governor Simon Bako Lalong described the gesture as a sign of good things to come to the state, saying the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Shendam is timely and will also aid educational development and improvement of technical manpower in medium and small scale enterprises in line with policy thrust of the rescue administration in the state
The Chairman also praised Governor Lalong for his doggedness in appealing to President Buhari for intervention fund from the Federal Government towards the reconstruction of the Jos Main Market.
He said this amongst others has shown the determination of the Governor's demonstration towards the actualization of his famous slogan "Think Plateau, Act Plateau".
Hon.Shehu maintained that Governor Lalong commitment to reconstruct the Jos Main Market will not only boost the economic activities of the area, but will restore Plateau State to its place of pride in the west African region.
The Chairman called on sons and daughters of Plateau to appreciate the benevolence of Governor Lalong by shunning religious, ethnic and political differences and give their unflinching support, cooperation and encouragement to the Governor to move the State to greater heights where peaceful coexistence, love and development would strive.
The chairman also assured Governor Lalong support of the people of Jos North Local Government for him to succeed in his assignments.
