Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong have issued an ultimatum to the Judiciary staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) and Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) in the state to resume work immediately without further delay.

Lalong said the state Government have already worked out modalities to pay PASAN and JUSUN their entitlements on Monday 14th June,2021, and workers are expected to resume work Tuesday 15th June,2021, noting that they are now autonomous.

Recall both unions PASAN and JUSUN nationwide were on strike for some months pressing home their demands as regards to financial autonomy.

The Governor warned that whoever that fails to report to work on the stipulated date, the state will not hesitate to adopt no work no pay measure.

He gave the matching order on Saturday June 12 Democracy Day celebration, in a parley which heralded his second term midterm in office, held at Banquet Hall New Government House Little Rayfield Jos.

According to him, Plateau has a pride of place in the Nigeria's democracy as the state produced caliber of personalities who contributes to the growth and development of the country.

"The future of Plateau is brighter and cannot be jeopardize. Our administration will continue sustaining democratic culture and good governance.

"Citizens must always hold their elected leaders accountable for their stewardship.

"Our democracy remain vulnerable when we continue to allowed individuals to be stronger than the institutions", Lalong voice out.

He vowed to implement the recommendations of Judicial commission of inquiry on Police brutality and extra Judicial killings that was submitted to the government.

Earlier, chairperson of the commission justice Philomena Lot retired while submitting their findings revealed that they have received about 63 petitions in which 52 is determined while 11 was struck out.

She appreciates the government and people of Plateau for the confidence reposed on them to serve the state.

You would recall the commission was constituted 16th October, 2020 in the aftermath of #EndSARS protest.
