Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong have charged loyalists of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), to disregard any political gimmicks peddling against and focus on building the party to bring more dividends of democracy for Nigerians.

Lalong insist and assured that APC will continue leading Nigeria as they determine to win 2023 elections.

The Governor gave the assurance in Jos, the state capital on Saturday while on under spot assessment tour of some political wards within the city centre as APC conduct wards Congresses nationwide.

He hailed the peaceful conduct of the exercise, calling on the new executive members to work in accordance with the APC Constitution.

He said that the assignment giving them from the National Secretariat of the party is to ensure free, fair and credible exercise right from the wards, Local Government and state levels.

Governor Lalong was accompanied by the deputy speaker House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Idris Maje and minister of women affairs and social development Dame Pauline Tallen.

While congratulating those emerged victorious, the deputy speaker, Maje urged them to shun parochial interest and everybody alone.

However, the minister of women affairs Dame Pauline Tallen advocate for more inclusion and participation of women in party's affairs.

Our correspondent learned that Governor Lalong and his entourage visited three electoral wards this includes; Gangare, Ibrahim Katsina and Jos Jarawa wards respectively, all in Jos North Local Government Area with 27 executive members each who emerged through consensus.
