The Nigeria Inspector General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu, has reaffirmed the unwavering commitment and determination of the Nigeria Police Force towards enhancing secure environment.

Disu acknowledged that achieving a sustainable peace and development required continues synergy and collaboration between security agencies and communities.

The 23 IGP made the assertion as he paid a condolence visit to the Plateau State Government in the aftermath of separate attacks and killings by assailants in some local government areas recently.

Recalled few days ago gunmen ambushed commuters in a bus around Dungus junction in Kuru, Jos South local government where 9 people were killed as others sustained gunshots.

In the same unfortunate circumstance, two people reportedly killed in Mangu and another two lost their lives following the night attacked in Tahost community, Riyom local governments respectively.

According to the IG, "I am on the Plateau to discuss issues bothering on the killings in Mangu and other parts of the state.

"Were not happy with the situation and I can assured were made some arrest.

"Having gone round and engaged with stakeholders to have lasting solutions to the problem, I can assure you people have hope and confidence on the police and we will continue working together in synergy and collaboration for secure environment.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang represented by the deputy, Josephine Piyo described the IGP visit as a testament of his commitment towards securing lives and properties Nigerians.

Piyo said the state government have made tremendous effort in terms security.

She appealed to the Police IG to consider reactivating and deployment of Police personnel at the Mobile Barrack in Gashesh community, Barkin-Ladi local which remained mouribound since establishment.

The deputy revealed the Mobile Barrack commence full operation, it has the capacity of improving security in four local governments namely; Barkin-Ladi, Riyom, Bokkos and Mangu.

Earlier, the Inspector General of Police was at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, where her engaged Senior Executive Course 48 Participants.

Delivering a paper titled:"The orange economy and enterprenuership in Nigeria: The role of the Nigeria Police", the IGP revealed that Nigeria cannot build orange economy with talents alone without genuine and deliberate commitment.

He said orange economy encompasses music, advertising, digital art, technological change, cultural exhibitions among others sectors of the economy.

According to him, " Nigeria has a distinguished opportunities in orange economy as the country has vast potentials and creative youths who can process and drive diverse economic sectors."
