A human right advocate and community builder, Comrade Samson Chiroma has berated Nigerian Government over poor security architecture leading to continuous onslaught of vulnerable persons in the country on a daily basis.

Chiroma voiced out his anger at heel's of recent unprovoked attack meted on innocent populace of Ahwol Ward, Yelwa Zangam community in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau state where more than thirty persons were confirmed killed.

The genocide was carried out by the suspected Fulani herdsmen who stormed the Anaguta community on Tuesday night around 9pm and unleashed terror on the helpless locals, leading to killings, injuries and burning of properties worth millions of Naira.

This was contained in a press release signed by Comrade Samson Chiroma and make available to this medium in Jos the state capital on Thursday.

According to him:"the evil act of the senseless and needless coordinated attacked by the suspected FULANI HERDSMEN  on Ahwol ward in Yalwa village of Jos North LGA, Plateau State which led to the killings of over thirty persons including women, children and the aged by some misguided elements is not only cowardly but barbaric and evil.

16 victims which were burnt to ashes beyond recognition

"This mindless round of killings allegedly carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen is condemnable, despicable and horrendous to say the least. It has further exposed the weak security architecture of Plateau State and Nigeria, in general.

"This unfortunate development coming at the peak when both state and non-state actors alike are busy finding ways to proffer enduring solutions to the myriad of security and peace challenges confronting the state and country; is capable of casting a very dark shadow on the peaceful coexistence of Plateau and Nigeria. It should be noted that the Anaguta nation is a peace loving and accommodating people.

"However, our hospitable and homily disposition should not, and must not be misconstrued for weakness; because no person, tribe or people have the monopoly of violence.

" We will resist the onslaught on our people with every fabric of our being using all legitimate means to seek redress for our slain brothers, sisters, children and parents. This act of wanton bloodletting across Plateau state in particular will not be acceptable to our people anymore.

"We therefore call on the Plateau State government, security agencies and all right thinking members of our society to, as a matter of urgency and in the interest of national unity and cohesion, rein these blood-sucking monsters who have invariably declared war on the good people of Plateau State.

"While we call on our people to remain calm even in the face of this renewed provocation, we urge the relevant authorities to immediately fish out the perpetrators of these heinous acts.

"This will not only restore confidence in government and security forces but, will also calm already frayed nerves.

"I also use this medium to commiserate with the victims and families of this unprovoked attacks and also urge the government and other spirited individuals to come to the aide of the injured and those who lost property and sources of livelihood as a result of this madness.

"I call on all community leaders, religious leaders, youths, women groups and the entire citizens to, as a precautionary measure, be vigilant and check the influx of persons with questionable character into our communities because this attack was carried out during the curfew", Chiroma concluded.
