Chairman elect Jos North LGA, Hon.Shehu Bala Usman

Following the outcome of Saturday's Local Government elections across the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State, the Chairman elect Jos North Council Hon. Shehu Usman vowed to operate an open door policy by carrying everybody along irrespective of religion, ethnic or political affiliation.

Usman gave the assurance shortly after receiving his certificate of return at Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) headquarters in Jos the state capital on Sunday.

He applauded the electoral umpire (PLASIEC) for conducting a credible, free and transparent exercise.

He appreciates security personnel for their resilience before, during and after the elections.

The Chairman elect, Usman affirmed that his administration will consolidate on the peace and development of the area to take jos North to a tourist haven. 

He called on the peace and good people of Jos North to join hands with his administration to develop the locality, noting that "the era of politicking is over now is the time for governance".

He stressed that the outcome of the election which saw his emergence as Chairman is a victory for all and "No Victor no vanquish". 

He commended the various Youths Development Associations, JNI, CAN, Women for contributing their quota to the development of democracy in the area, adding that he will forever remain gratitude to all.
