Jos, May 25, 2023 (NAN) Plateau state governor-elect, Caleb Mutfwang, has

reiterated his resolve of to strengthen the bond of unity among people in the state to combat insecurity when he assumes office.

Mutfwang in a statement signed bu his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Gyang Bere, described the recent security breach that claimed several lives in some parts of the state as unfortunate.

While receiving the some community leaders of the tarok tribe led by its President, Amb. Nanpon Sheni, expressed the need for all ethnic group to come together to secure and build the state to harness the blessings that God has put in the land.

The governor-elect thanked the Tarok people for their immense support accorded him during the election and urged them to remain as a formidable force in the rebuilding of a new Plateau.

Mutfwang assured them of the commitment of his administration to building a sound and enduring infrastructural base that will benefit every community in the state.

Earlier, the President of Ngwang Ishi O’Tarok (NIO), Amb. Nanpon Sheni, leader of the delegation said their visit was to congratulate the governor-elect on his recent victory in the general elections.

Sheni pledged the loyalty and support of the Taroh people to the incoming administration charging him to be steadfast in his duties as he was taking over government at a challenging period with heightened insecurity.

He stated that the protection and preservation of lives and properties remains the cardinal and primary objective of any government but was however optimistic that he had what it takes to ensure a new and enhanced security architecture for the state.
