As Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid-el -Fitr to mark the end of the Ramadan Fast, the Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, RT Hon Gabriel Dewan  Kudangbena , has emphasized the need to sustain prayers and other good virtues exhibited during the holy month to build an egalitarian society. 


The Speaker in a message made available to newsmen   felicitates with Muslims for  successfully ending the month-long Ramadan fast and the Sallah festival.


He said  " Almighty Allah must be praised for keeping the Muslim faithful throughout the 30-day fasting period, which he  described as a spiritual exercise that deepens the relationship between the faithful and their creator."


While congratulating Muslims for successfully coming to the end of the Ramadan Fast, the Plateau  State Number Three Citizen  enjoined citizens to use their diversity as a source of unity and strength calling on youths to remain committed to constituted authorities and champion the course of peace, unity, and development in the society.


Dewan  who  called for support for the Governor Caleb Mutfwang led adminstration also used the occasion to assure Muslims in the state and indeed  all citizens of Plateau generally that the welfare of the people remains the priority of the Current  leadership of the State assembly.


"We would continue to partner with the state government to  provide quality legislation to the people of the state ."


He reiterated the commitment of the state  Assembly to come up with quality legislation to support Governor Caleb Mutfwang   deliver his campaign promises to the people of Plateau.


Speaker Dewan  prayed  Almighty Allah to answer the prayers and accept the supplications made by the Muslim Ummah during the holy month of Ramadan for themselves, families, Plateau  State and Nation at large.


He further called  for support to government and leaders at all levels to succeed charging religious and community leaders to continue to preach peace and unity among their people.


For his constituents in Pankshin North ,Speaker Dewan  promised to continue to  provide more dividends of democracy to them.
