Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has outlined his administration's commitment to revitalizing technical education to drive industrial advancement within the state.


Receiving members of the Bukuru Old Students Association Technical (BOSAT) at the New Government House Little Rayfield in Jos on Monday, Barr. Mutfwang announced plans to establish a committee to restructure the state's educational landscape to explore the potentials of technical schools for industrialization and prospects for employment.


"Our government is looking at how to position our young people to be relevant for the future. We will set up a Committee that will realign our educational sector do that we are able to structure them properly." He said.


Acknowledging the contributions of Bukuru Technical School, particularly in local production such as manufacturing waste bins, Governor Mutfwang affirmed his administration's commitment to enhancing the school's infrastructure to international standards.


He also pledged to reintegrate retired teachers into the school system to leverage their experience and expertise in order to ensure the continuity of quality education.


In his remarks, the National President of BOSAT, Mr. Raphael Rume, lauded the Governor's decisive action in revitalizing the educational sector and advocated for the establishment of additional technical schools across the state to accelerate industrialization and create employment opportunities.
