Plateau State Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo has condemned the fresh attacks on the Kopnanle community in Mangu and Mandar Shar Village of Bokkos Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

The attacks which occurred Friday night claimed several lives as properties worth millions destroyed by the assailants in the communities. 

Piyo described the attacks as unfortunate and a setback to the efforts the government has continued to take to restore peace and security in the state. 

She however called for calm in the affected areas, promising that the Governor Mutfwang-led administration is committed to fishing out the perpetrators of the dastard acts and ensure they are brought to book to face the extant punishment for their crimes. 

The deputy Governor also called on security agencies to put in more effort to ensure that unprovoked and deadly attacks are being met with swift action and curbed to the barest minimum. 

She expressed sympathy to families who are bereaved and to the affected communities and also prayed for a quick recovery for those who were injured.
