The Senator representing Plateau Northern zone, Pam Mwakwon Dachungyang has commended members of Plateau Initiative for Development and Advancement of the Natives (PIDAN) following the successful election of its new leadership.

This was contained in a congratulatory message made available to this medium by senator Dachungyang's special assistant on media, Eric Dung.

Senator Dachungyang noted that PIDAN has over the years provided the people of Plateau State the needed melting point irrespective of tribal differences to articulate their collective concerns within the larger context of a corporate Nigerian State.

"May I use this medium to congratulate the PIDAN family and by extension, all Plateau people for conducting themselves peaceful throughout the election process which I believe is a demonstration of our unity under God to protect and project our common heritage as a people of the Middle Belt extraction".

While taking a cursory look at PIDAN since inception, the Distinguished Senator stressed that "PIDAN since it's birth has demonstrated over the years a steadfast commitment to the welfare, security, growth and development of Autochthonous Communities in the state.

The lawmaker therefore praised the quality of leaders that PIDAN has thrown-up over the years and emplored the Ambassador Nanpon Sheni led exco to raise the bar of leadership for a more vibrant PIDAN to emerge.

Senator Dachungyang also used the opportunity to commend the beautiful work done by the outgone executives led by Prof. About Madaki.
