In a show of solidarity and  goodwill,  Hon. Samuel Yakubu maram. (ALBARKA), a former House of Assembly aspirant under the SDP, led a delegation on a congratulatory visit to the Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Council, Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau.



The visit, conducted on behalf of Architect Molkat Manasseh Mutfwang, was aimed at extending best wishes to the Chairman on his recent election and affirming their commitment to fostering unity and progress in Bokkos Local Government.


The delegation included notable figures such as Hon. Macham Stephen Kibangs (Legislative Leader), Hon. Nahemaih Matawal Watley (Deputy Leader), Hon. Luka Yavuruk (Chief of Staff), Hon. Gamat (Personal Assistant to the Council Chairman), and Mr. Emmanuel Tongji from Mangu Local Government Council.


During the visit, Hon. Yakubu emphasized the importance of leadership that prioritizes community development and inclusivity. He highlighted the need for ongoing collaboration, underscoring the significance of building bridges between the local government and its constituents.


Hon. Yakubu also commended past and present leaders for their contributions, citing individuals like Chief Hon. Monday M. Kassah (Saf Makudang), Hon. Jubril Watley Sule Dakup (Director of Protocol to the Executive Governor of Plateau State), and Hon. Adams Bulus Lekshak (Commissioner of Works, Plateau State) as inspirations for their commitment to the progress of Bokkos.


In his response, Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau expressed his gratitude for the visit and the encouragement from the delegation. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to addressing key challenges such as insecurity and infrastructural development. The Chairman noted the need for road construction projects to improve access to rural areas, aligning with the state government’s developmental agenda.


Hon. Amalau lauded the leadership of His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State, and pledged to uphold the governor’s vision encapsulated in the mantra “The Time is Now.”


The visit concluded with prayers for wisdom and guidance for the leadership of Bokkos Local Government and a renewed commitment to collaborative efforts for the advancement of the area.
