RON MURWI YOUTHS BOKKOS: CALL FOR SECURITY ACTION
We, the Ron Murwi Youths, urge the government to take decisive action against Fulani leaders who have failed to produce the perpetrators of recent attacks on our innocent people. It is imperative that the governor and chairman of Bokkos LGA take responsibility for protecting lives and properties.
Recent Attacks
On Friday, December 6, 2024, and Saturday, December 7, 2024, Fulani militias killed three people around Haimabak (Fwangnin). Additionally, a woman was killed in her house in Fakkos, and there was an attack of Maiungwa in Mom Tangur, on the same day. The road from Marish to Maikatako has not been safe since 2020, with numerous attacks occurring in the area.
Demands
1. Quit Notice: Fulani leaders in the area should be given a quit notice to leave through Makai Tarangol and Tarangol community.
2. Arrest of Fulani Leaders: The sector commander should arrest Fulani leaders until they produce those responsible for the attacks.
3. Compensation for Victims' Families: The government should provide compensation to the immediate families of those who lost their lives.
4. Military Checkpoint: A military checkpoint should be established in the area to monitor Fulani activities.
Call to Action for Ron Murwi People
We urge our people to take the following precautions seriously:
1. Avoid Cow Slaughter: Refrain from slaughtering cows during the Christmas season due to concerns about poisoned meat.
2. Secure Community Roads: Take control of community roads, especially in areas prone to attacks.
3. Extend Banga: Extend the Banga initiative to our roads and be cautious in relationships with Fulani, as there may be traitors among our people.
4. Beware of Poisoned Cows: Be aware that Fulani may plan to poison cows meant for Christmas consumption.
5. Take Responsibility: Take responsibility for safeguarding your village, and do not blame others for your negligence.
6. Report Suspicious Activities: Report any suspicious activities by Fulani leaders to security agencies immediately.
Sincerely,
Mabas Ayuba
