In Loving Memory: Honouring Plateau’s Finest

With profound sorrow, I join the people of Plateau State in mourning the loss of three remarkable individuals whose lives were dedicated to service, leadership, and community development: Sen. Jeremiah Useni (Gen. Rtd), Hon. Da Yohanna Dalyop, and Dara BB Kwis. Their invaluable contributions to our state and nation will remain etched in our hearts and history.

Sen. Jeremiah Useni was a national icon whose distinguished career in the military and impactful political journey set a standard of excellence and commitment to Nigeria's progress. His legacy is one of steadfast dedication to service and leadership.

Hon. Da Yohanna Dalyop, the pioneer Chairman of Riyom Local Government, stood as a trailblazer in governance and community building. As an energy expert and gubernatorial standard-bearer of the APP, his visionary leadership inspired countless others to follow in his footsteps.

Dara BB Kwis, a revered commandant of the Boys Brigade and a respected member of the Kuru royal home and elders council, was a beacon of wisdom, strength, and moral guidance in our community.

As I pen these words, I write not only as one who mourns these great losses but also as one walking through my own valley of grief, having recently lost my beloved wife, who will be laid to rest on the 13th of February. In this shared moment of sorrow, I deeply empathize with the immediate families of these icons and the people of Plateau State, for I too know the anguish of such an irreparable void.

May the souls of these illustrious individuals rest in perfect peace, and may God grant their families—and all of us—the fortitude to bear these profound losses. Together, let us celebrate their legacies and ensure their memories remain alive in our hearts and actions.
