The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, John Kyohroh Christopher has commissioned state-of -the -art information communication Technology (ICT) Centre to enhance effective service delivery.
The ICT hub is among other laudable projects executed by his administration as part of activities making his hundred days in office.
The occasion which took place at the Council's Secretariat was witnessed by the Director General Plateau State Information and communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA), Dominic Datong, National President ICT Yika.
Shortly after commissioning the ICT unit, Chairman of Jos North local government Council John Christopher said the gesture is born out of his administration desire to secure and safeguard confidential documents and to train staff to meet up with global best practices.
He explained that setting of the ICT Unit is in line with Governor Caleb Mutfwang's administration directive to all Local Government Councils to harmonize their activities into data based. The chairman urged staff to take advantage of the ICT Unit and be productive.
Director General of Plateau information and Communication Technology Development Agency, Dominic Dantong, while appreciating efforts of the Council chairman and management noted that the ICT Unit will go along way in securing most of the locality.
In another development, the council chairman, John Kyohroh Christopher inspected the Nabor Gwong Community ongoing borehole project as residents appreciated the gesture and noting that it the gesture will helping in alleviating their plight.
While inspecting the proposed Angwan-Rukuba Market, the Council Chairman asked the Directors for a plan to be mapped out for the construction of the market.
The chairman thanked Governor Caleb Mutfwang for creating the enabling environment to enable them serve and promised to do more at the grassroots.
