Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has congratulated the Executive Commissioner, Exploration and Acreage Management of the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Ms. Rose C. Ndong, on her historic election as the 33rd President of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS).
In a congratulatory message, Governor Mutfwang described Ms. Ndong as a visionary leader and an exceptional geologist whose strategic foresight in the mining and petroleum industries continues to shape the future of oil, gas, and solid minerals exploration in Nigeria.
The Governor noted that her tenure as Vice President of NMGS was marked by innovative reforms that strengthened the Society’s role in advancing Nigeria’s extractive sector.
He expressed confidence that under her leadership, NMGS will further expand the frontiers of mining activities, fostering economic growth and national development.
Highlighting her extensive expertise in Geology, Mining, Mineral Exploration, and Hydrogeology, Governor Mutfwang commended Ms. Ndong for her outstanding contributions to the solid minerals and petroleum sectors, which have significantly boosted the nation's revenue and economic resilience.
