Plateau United General Manager, Hosea Habila Mutla together with chairman and deputy chairman supporters club Plateau United 


As Muslim faithfuls worldwide are preparing to round up the holy month of Ramadan fasting, the General Manager, Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Hosea Habila Mutla has dished out rice and undisclosed sum of money to the team's supporters club amidst Sallah celebration.

The gesture is aimed at enhancing Muslim fans to have a remarkable Eid-il-Fitr celebration as Ramadan fasting comes to an end.

Handing over the items to the fans executives on Saturday at the Plateau United Secretariat in Jos, for onward distribution, Mutla revealed it is a way of showing gratitude for Muslim fans whom they remain resolute in supporting and prayers for the team always.

According to GM, the Muslim have fasted for almost 30-days now, and by the grace of God it is our prayers that tomorrow they would rounded it up with Eid-il-Fitr.

"So, in our own little way of support to them because they have been standing with the club, they have been standing with the Governor Caleb Mutfwang administration, praying and working hard to see that Plateau United and Mutfwang's government succeed.

"That is why as club, Plateau United seems it fit given them this token so that they would go and celebrate the Sallah, and we continued putting our heads together and take Plateau United to another level."



Mutla said it is not the quantity that is concern but the heart behind it noting that, " please take it the way you see it. This is what we can afford as a club. We have just started, and by the grace of God when it comes to Christmas period we will replicate same gesture to Christian fans so that we can move together in unity.

"So I want to say a big congratulations to our Muslim brothers. I want to thank God for keeping us alive because we did not heard any news of missing anyone of them as a result of this fasting. It is an indication that God has answered our prayers."

He also appreciates the supporters club chairman, John Jang Nyam, his deputy Murtala Millionaire and other executives for standing for the team always.

Speaking to newsmen after receiving the items, chairman supporters club, Plateau United, John Jang Nyam alongside deputy Murtala Millionaire, they extend heart of gratitude to the GM and other management team to Plateau United.

The duo confirmed it was the first time they witnessed such initiative under present government in Plateau. They assured judicious distribution of the items to all supporters.
