The Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Plateau State Chapter has stated that the party is the only credible alternative for Nigeria's liberation if come into power in 2027.

ADC said the ongoing coalition in Nigeria is far different from that of 2013 that gave birth to All Progressive Congress (APC).

The party bemoaned that Nigerians entrusted APC with their mandates but sadly the reverse is the case.

Speaking to newsmen on Sunday in Jos the state capital, Plateau ADC publicity secretary, Silas Audu alongside other party's executives acknowledged the coalition is timely as it will go a long in salvaging Nigerians from the current excruciating pains.

"This coalition is different. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is one of Nigeria's oldest political parties—only three years younger than the PDP, and 10 years older than other parties. We did not destroy any political party to form a new one. It was Nigerians who felt that this coalition was right—this is the party that can unite all Nigerians to achieve a common goal in 2027. We are ready, and I’m calling on all Nigerians to join us.

"African Democratic Congress is willing to assimilate all patriotic Nigerians who are ready and willing to build a greater Nigeria of our dreams.

"In line with the reality on ground, we have been directed from the National Headquarters to inform you all, that the Oke Nwonsu led National Working Committee (NWC) has been dissolved while the states structures remain intact, this is because the states had their own congresses in 2022, supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in line with the provision of the Electoral Act. 2022.

"More so, from now on, all directives are to be taken from the office of the Interim National Chairman, Distinguished Senator David Mark and the Interim National Secretary, Raul Aregbesola, while that of the Plateau State will come directly from the office of the State Chairman, Hon. Samuel Pam Gyang", Audu revealed.

The state party mouthpiece further dispel publication circulating on some media platforms concerning one Mrs Hanatu Gagara who claimed to be chairman of ADC in Plateau State.

He said the authentic ADC chairman of the party in Plateau is Hon. Samuel Pam, saying that the self-acclaimed chairman (Hanatu Gagara) is the party's women leader.

According to him, "our attention has been drawn to an online publication circulating on the Social Media' by a self-acclaim person parading herself as the ADC Chairman in the State, contradicting article “E” of the party’s constitution. We want to inform all citizens of Plateau, especially our teaming supporters to stop having any political transactions with her, as doing so will be at the person’s risk and ADC will not be held responsible thereafter.
