‎In a significant step towards fostering greater collaboration between the private sector and youth empowerment initiatives, the National Director of the Unemployed Youths Association of Nigeria (UYAN), Comrade Ugochukwu Sylvester Emeana, has officially appointed Hon. Uzoma Nwokorie as a Patron of the association.


‎The official presentation ceremony took place at the National Headquarters of UYAN in Abuja, where Hon. Nwokorie, a respected businessman and entrepreneur, was honored for his unwavering support for youth development and job creation efforts across Nigeria.


‎Hon. Uzoma Nwokorie hails from Imo State, a state known for its vibrant youth and entrepreneurial spirit. He brings with him a wealth of experience in business and a deep passion for empowering young Nigerians.


‎Speaking during the event, Comrade Emeana highlighted the crucial role of strategic partnerships in addressing the rising challenge of youth unemployment in the country. He commended Hon. Nwokorie’s track record in empowering young people through entrepreneurship and mentorship, noting that his appointment marks a new chapter for the association.


‎“We are proud to welcome Hon. Uzoma Nwokorie into our fold as Patron. His contributions to enterprise development and youth empowerment align perfectly with our mission to uplift and equip unemployed youths with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed,” Comrade ugochukwu Syvester Emeana said.


‎In his response, Hon. Nwokorie expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged his continued support for UYAN’s initiatives. He emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement and skill development in tackling unemployment and reaffirmed his commitment to helping the youth chart productive paths.

The event concluded with a tour of the national office and discussions on upcoming projects aimed at vocational training, entrepreneurship incubation, and job placement.
