Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil, has reiterated the commitment of the 10th Assembly to work harmoniously with other arms of government to ensure the collective advancement of Plateau State.
He noted that fostering synergy among the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Arms of government is critical not only to the state’s development across all sectors, but also to preserve Plateau’s unity as an indivisible entity.
Rt. Hon. Gapyil stated this while receiving a delegation of stakeholders from the four districts of Mikang Local Government Area, who visited him at the Assembly Complex in Jos to express their solidarity and felicitate with him on his emergence as Speaker.
He appreciated the goodwill and support from his colleagues, which culminated in his election, and reassured his kinsmen of his unwavering commitment to lead with integrity, equity, and focus on the collective interest of Plateau people above personal ambition.
“My doors are always open for advice, support, and constructive criticism. Together with my colleagues, we will promote a new narrative where Plateau comes first. The 10th Assembly is working as a united team to deliver on our legislative mandate,” the Speaker affirmed.
He further assured the delegation of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s plans for the people of Mikang, especially, in the area of rural road connectivity and other developmental initiatives, and sought their continuous prayers and support.
Earlier, leader of the delegation and former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Innocent Tirsel, congratulated the Speaker on behalf of Mikang stakeholders, describing his emergence as a proud moment for the people of the area.
“We came to identify with our son and to thank God for his elevation as Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly. We are proud of you and are excited by the support you are enjoying from Governor Mutfwang, principal officers, and members of the Assembly,” Hon. Tirsel said.
He assured the Speaker of continues prayers and backing of Mikang stakeholders to enable him succeed.
