The Chairman of Quanpaan Local Government Area Christopher Manship has urged traditional rulers, religious leaders, and development associations to join hands with his administration in condemning the attacks and working towards a permanent solution.
Manship was speaking during a large Security meeting held at the Local Government Guest House Doemak.
It would be recalled that Suspected Fulani militias attacked some Communities in Qua'an-Pan Local Government Area leaving many displaced.
The affected communities include Nteng, Doop, Zhep Morop, Gyeergu, Kelaghan, Loon, Kwakii, and Gorom in Doemak District.
The attack occurred around late August, just as residents were preparing to harvest their crops, resulting in significant destruction of property and livelihoods.
In his address the Chairman of Quanpaan Local Government Council Christopher Manship said the Stakeholders meeting aimed the fight to see the end of the attacks and build a more secure and prosperous Quanpaan for all.
He noted that security agencies have been promptly mobilized to the affected areas to ensure the situation is brought under control. We are working tirelessly to restore peace and normalcy to the communities.
The Plateau State Commissioner of Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality Cornelius Doeyok commended Christopher Manship for convening a stakeholders meeting to address the recent attacks on some communities in the local government area.
The Chairman of the Qua'an-Pan Traditional Council, Safiyanu Allahnanan, emphasized that traditional rulers have a crucial role to play in restoring peace to communities affected by recent attacks.
To those displaced by the attacks, the council Chairman assured that it's only a matter of time before they will return to their respective homes
Meantime, Chairman of Qua'an-Pan Local Government Area, Christopher Manship, has visited communities affected by the attacks, showing his commitment to the welfare and safety of residents.
The according to him demonstrated his administration's dedication to ensuring the well-being of its citizens and restoring peace in the area.
While addressing the non Conventional security agencies at Nteng, Christopher Manship called on them to stand united and support the security agencies as they worked to restore peace to the communities.
