Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, has led members of the Tenth Assembly on a condolence visit on the Member representing Jos North-North Constituency, Hon. Adamu Aliyu, over the passing of his elder sister, the late Fatima Aliyu Musa.

Rt. Hon Naanlong, who expressed the solidarity of the House with their colleague, on Monday November 10, 2025, led Principal Officers and Members of the  State Assembly to the residence of the deceased at Ali Kazaure in Jos, to commiserate with the family.

According to him, it is the tradition of the Tenth Assembly to identify with any of their colleagues in moments of joy or sorrow, noting that God does not make mistakes in any of His decisions, emphasizing that He does not consult anyone before making them.

The Speaker encouraged Hon. Aliyu and the bereaved family, to take solace in the fact that the late Fatima Aliyu Musa lived a good life and is now resting with the Lord.

He explained that their presence was to serve as a source of strength and solidarity to him and the family during this difficult time.

Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel prayed God to comfort Hon. Aliyu, the entire family, the Community, as well as grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Responding on behalf of the family, Alhaji Haruna and Hon. Adamu Aliyu expressed appreciation to the Speaker and members of the House for their visit, prayers, and show of love, describing it as a true demonstration of unity and brotherhood within the Assembly.
