The Plateau United Football club of Jos has recorded a second away from home in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), 2025/2026 season after a dramatic 90 minutes goalless draw against Katsina United.

The encounter which held at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kano State on Saturday saw a spectacular display from both team.

Plateau United FC could have take the day against their rivals having failed to convert good six scoring chances in the first half and two in the second half.

With this development, Plateau United FC who currently occupied 17 position in the log of the table so far secured five points from three games in the second stanza of the NPFL 2025/2026 campaign since the arrival of the acting technical adviser Gbenga Ogunbote.

Speaking to newsmen after the match, Plateau United FC acting technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote revealed they will go back and continue their homework.

"We give it our whole anytime we play.With our present position, for the one point we have got we thank God for it.

"Your can agree with me that this is a two point lost for us. But be it as it may one point is very important at this crucial time.We will go back and built on it and we will continue to search anytime we play.

"We will continue thanking our fans and plead for more patience because they have been with the team through thick and thin, this is the time they need to show more love, commitment, and support for the team and by the grace of God the team will bounce back", Ogunbote stated.

However, Coach Azeez Mohammed of Katsina United admit they have to accept the result the way it comes, saying that in football you either win, draw or lost.

The next fixture for Plateau United FC will be midweek Wednesday as they play host to Enugu Rangers in Jos.
