----kick off membership registration in Plateau 

The former minister of youths and sports development, Barr. Solomon Dalung, has boosted that the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) is the only credible alternative for Nigerians come 2027 general elections.

Dalung who is the leader of ADC in Plateau believed the party have what it takes to salvage the country from deterioration.

The ex minister made the revelation during an official launching of the ADC's statewide Membership Revalidation, Mobilization and Registration (MRMR) exercise over the weekend at the party secretariat in Jos.

Dalung alleged that Nigeria never had it this bad as the current administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu plunge the masses into excruciating pains.
He said ADC is revolutionary party for the masses ,ready to change the fortune of Nigeria adding that, "people possessed the power of electing who to govern.

According to him, "today marks the watershed in the history of the struggle.The ADC coalition went onto struggle for about 18 months as three political parties considered. But those who bent on destroying democracy keep infiltrating the coalition.

"We cannot folds our hands. We are here to rescue democracy. Democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people. But unfortunately in Nigeria today it is the government of the few people, their pockets and families", Dalung lamented.

He also revealed that amongst the major political parties in Nigeria it is only the ADC without internal squabbles compared to APC and PDP who were in deep crisis, describing the ongoing defection and realignment especially in the APC as the "marriage of inconvenience that cannot stand the test of time."
"The 2026 electoral law has returned power to the people. Aspirants should be deliberate and persistent in interfacing with the electorates because ADC will go into direct primaries in all positions", Dalung insisted.

He cleared the air that there is no leadership crisis on the ADC Plateau State chapter. Calling on members to accord respect to all party leadership and leaders should intensity reconciliation and strengthen internal democracy within the party.

He also revealed that the ADC membership card is now available at the sum of one thousand (N1,000) only.N500 for registration and N500 membership card making a grand total of N1,000.

"In preparation for the upcoming Local Government Area (LGA) elections in Plateau, the ADC National Headquarters has officially released the guidelines and nomination forms to the State Chapter for all intending aspirants", he added.

Plateau State chairman of ADC said their dream came to fruition as what they are waiting has finally arrived from the national headquarters, Abuja.
