As the Nigeria National League finally kicks off on Wednesday,10th of April,2019 across the nation, the Chairman of Mighty Jets football club of Jos, Alex Wukari, has applauded the unwavering efforts put in place by the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, in making sure that football loving people in the state watch Nigeria Premier league matches live,week in,week out in Jos by supporting the club financially.

Alex Wukari, who told journalists that all hands are on deck to make this season the last for Mighty Jets FC in the second tier of Nigeria club football,said all praises should be ascribed to the sports loving Governor of the State who has been like a father figure for both Mighty Jets and sister club, Plateau United fc, by paying the club's salary as at when due.

Wukari, who said since the target of  Governor Lalong  is to have both clubs play in the elite division, hence,every effort was put in place to bring in quality players and a Coach that understands the chemistry of the club in the person of former Jazzy Stars fc Coach, Sylvester Ekoja, who captained the club during his playing days and had one time coached Jets and Nasarawa United,where he served in an assistant capacity.

Alex Wukari, who was full of praise for Governor Simon Lalong, also called on him to double his efforts in making the yearning of football fans and lovers on the Plateau see the light of the day  by making Plateau State, known as the mecca of football in Nigeria, the only state with two Premier league club sides in Nigeria.

Mighty Jets football club will be traveling to Kano to confront Gidiano FC on Wednesday in the curtain raiser of the Nigeria national league.

It would be recalled that Mighty Jets fc won the first league diadem in Nigeria in 1972.
